Australias Never Never Distilling Company, based in the south of the country, is known for its innovative production methods. Described as a modern classic, Never Never Triple Juniper Gin undergoes three distillation processes using copious amounts of juniper. First, juniper is steeped in alcohol for around 24 hours before the liquid, plus fresh juniper, is added to the pot still, with extra quantities of juniper added to the vapour basket.
Suggested serves: Quinine-rich tonic waters should be used in G&Ts, and herbal garnishes work well. Never Never Triple Juniper also forms a great base for a Red Snapper, which is essentially a Bloody Mary made with gin instead of vodka.
Tasting Notes
A bold aroma of juicy juniper and zesty citrus, along with earthy cooked thyme. The palate opens with earthy juniper and black pepper, while a deliciously oily texture coats the palate. Hints of orange zest, honey and oak follow. Very rounded and integrated flavours from start to finish.
